Draft Stock

Entering the season, there wasn’t much buzz about Jaxson Hayes, but depending on who you ask now, he’s considered one of the top centers in this year’s draft class. His draft stock is certainly in the realm of lottery pick to mid-first rounder, depending on how things play out come draft night.

It wouldn’t surprise me if a team like the Washington Wizards took him with the No. 9 pick or if he went to the Atlanta Hawks with the 10th pick. He’s certainly a player that will improve the overall feel on defense with his shot blocking ability in the paint.

He’s shown the ability to run the pick-and-roll offense with relative fluidity as well on offense. If he can find an ideal backcourt mate that he can gel with, he’s certainly a guy who can expect a high selection in this year’s 2019 NBA Draft.
