2. Gerald Drumgoole, Pittsburgh Panthers

Gerald Drumgoole has a chance to fill a real void for the Pittsburgh Panthers in the 2019-20 season. With their backcourt set with Xavier Johnson and Trey McGowens, the next step is improving in the frontcourt and that’s where Drumgoole comes in.

The Panthers were a depleted team in the frontcourt which was their ultimate demise in 2018-19. With four incoming freshmen now, things are set to make a turnaround for them this year.

Drumgoole is a 6-foot-6, 195-pound who was originally recruited as both a football and basketball player before deciding on playing basketball following his sophomore season. Since then, he’s seen his star grow on the recruiting trail.

This past season, he blossomed at La Lumiere School (IN), averaging 12.0 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game and shooting 50.0 percent from 3-point land on the PrepCircuit. Now, he’s ranked 109th in the 2019 recruiting class and 27th-rated small forward in his class as he enters the ACC basketball world.
