Talen Horton-Tucker from Iowa State Basketball is a dynamic guard prospect entering the 2019 NBA Draft. Here’s a look at his draft profile as the draft approaches next Thursday.

Talen Horton-Tucker is a big guard for his size at 6-foot-4 and 235-pounds. The former Iowa State Basketball player is another one-and-done prospect in this year’s NBA Draft class that poses tons of potential for the future of some NBA teams.

He averaged 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game for the Iowa State Cyclones in his lone season of college basketball. He’s something of a volume shooter that averaged 10.9 shots per contest while shooting 40.6 percent from the floor and 30.8 percent from 3-point range.

He’s an anomaly in the scouting world with his 7-foot-1 wingspan and it’s something he used to his advantage this past season. On defense, he was a disruptive force that started the break on numerous occasions with on-ball steals. With their style of play, Horton-Tucker was able to play to his strengths as Iowa State’s proverbial stretch-4. At the NBA level, he’s got the potential to succeed in a small-ball rotation and then some.

There’s room for growth in Horton-Tucker’s game and depending on where you look, he’s becoming a topic of discussion for some NBA teams. After all, there’s a reason his name is still in the 2019 NBA Draft. Here’s a look at the NBA Draft profile for Iowa State wing Talen Horton-Tucker.
