Michigan State basketball is bringing in three freshmen for the future. How might each make an impact during their time in East Lansing?

Michigan State basketball is widely projected to be a top-5 team in the nation during this coming season. This is thanks in large part due to the return of star point guard Cassius Winston but several of his teammates also coming back to suit up for head coach Tom Izzo. The Spartans have been one of the most consistently successful programs in the country throughout the 21st century and it certainly seems as though that trend is going to continue due to their returning talent and incoming 2019 recruiting class.

Heading into this coming season, Michigan State has three freshmen joining the team. Although the class is not filled with a ton of commits, the group is still ranked at No. 26 in the nation and that is a testament to the individual skill level of each newcomer. It is also important to mention that Coach Izzo and Co. also landed highly-touted transfer Joey Hauser (Marquette), who will have at least two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out this coming campaign.

Due to how many minutes are returning for MSU from this past season, finding immediate playing time may prove difficult for some of the incoming freshmen. They are, though, highly-ranked and talented in their own right and will certainly be fighting for movement up the depth chart throughout the year. Fans should be able to expect that these three players will make a path to success during their time with the program and that these recruiting wins will just continue to further the program.

Now, without any further ado, let’s dive into what Michigan State’s incoming freshmen might bring to the table right away and in the future. (Note: All recruiting rankings were found via 247Sports Composite.)
