The SEC Basketball ranks will see a big shift from top to bottom with one of the top players headed to a non-blue blood program.

The SEC Basketball recruiting landscape has changed a bit in 2019, although the Kentucky Wildcats are at the top of the mountain with the top-rated class once again. The Wildcats are the leaders virtually by one five-star commitment over the Florida Gators.

The Gators will premiere two five-star prospects and five players total when the 2019-20 season commences. As will Kentucky, the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide as teams look to improve on the recruiting trail and increase their chances at an NCAA Tournament bid.

Seven SEC teams were selected to the 2019 NCAA Tournament with the Auburn Tigers making it all the way to their first Final Four appearance in school history. Playing off of that, it will be interesting to see what Bruce Pearl cooks up this upcoming year.

The Gators are one team that will have high expectations heading into the year as do the Georgia Bulldogs after securing the top player in the class.

There are also some new faces across the conference in the head coaching ranks with Jerry Stackhouse now at Vanderbilt, Eric Musselman at Arkansas and Nate Oats at Alabama. One of them has already made some headway on the recruiting trail. Here’s a look at the Top 15 impact players in the 2019 recruiting class.
