Boston College Basketball has some rebuilding to do in the backcourt but their 2019 class has them in good shape for the future.
Boston College Basketball is slowly but surely improving on the recruiting trail. They’ve got four players in their 2019 recruiting class and as a collective, their class ranks 63rd in the nation. Last season, their recruiting class ranked 71st with just two players enrolled in Wynston Tabbs and Jairus Hamilton.
Tabbs put up 13.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in 15 appearances before going down with a season-ending injury in January. Hamilton appeared in 30 games, averaging 5.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 20.8 minutes of action. It was quite the start for them during the 2018-19 season and a sign of what’s to come with upcoming needs on the horizon.
They have a big hole to fill with their leader, Ky Bowman, gone to the NBA Draft. Bowman led the team in scoring with 19.0 points per game and assists with 4.0 per contest. He was second in the team in rebounds with 7.5 per game. His role will be a tough one to fill but with some versatile prospects coming in, the Golden Eagles should be fine.
There are some holes to fill for 2019-20 but the Boston College Golden Eagles look like they’re in a prime position with some help on the way. Here’s a look at their 2019 recruiting class.
