NCAA Basketball finalist for Andrew Nembhard – Gonzaga Bulldogs

Gonzaga was the other team that Nembhard had on his original final four schools, he’s also taken an official visit and met with Mark Few in person. The Zags have been all over Nembhard since he entered the portal and given their prior history it was no surprise they made the final cut.

Jalen Suggs and Joel Ayayi are both likely to be in the NBA by the start of the 2021-22 season leaving the door open for Nembhard to play a big role. A potential pairing with Dominick Harris should really get Zags fans excited about the future.

Mark Few has proved to be an extremely effective recruiter and the fact the Zags have had an official visit with Nembhard will provide them with a big advantage. The fact that they made Nembhard’s final four schools shows that there’s a lot of mutual interest.

If Nembhard is even considering getting a waiver to play in the next season, Nembhard going to Gonzaga would be extremely unlikely. If he’s planning to sit out the year Gonzaga would make a lot of sense. Mark Few has consistently had national championship-contending teams and developed top talent. I like the fit for Nembhard at Gonzaga a lot with Suggs and Ayayi likely going pro.
