Michigan State Basketball has won three straight Big Ten regular-season championships. Can they make it four this upcoming season?

Michigan State Basketball Head Coach Tom Izzo has been one of the best coaches in the business for a very long time. He preaches no-nonsense, no agenda basketball with an emphasis on being tough on defense, tough on the boards, and pushing the basketball in transition.

It’s this philosophy that has helped him win 10 Big Ten championships, as well as reach eight Final Fours. Izzo’s Spartans have won three straight conference championships, which is not an easy thing to do due to the high level of competition in the Big Ten.

The Spartans are in a prime position to win their impressive fourth straight conference championship. Even after losing one of his best players he’s ever had in Cassius Winston, as well as forward Xavier Tillman to the NBA Draft, Michigan State still has a very talented roster, arguably the conference’s best.

While they lose their two top contributors, a pair of their returning players look ready to shoulder the load that Winston and Tillman leave behind. Plus, they will get production from some new faces as well.

There is no doubt in any Spartan fan’s mind that Izzo will send out his best team and they will be on top of or at least fighting for, the conference. It won’t be easy, it’s the Big Ten. It never has been. But playing a tough non-conference schedule is what keeps Izzo’s Spartans spry for the tough conference schedule ahead. Let’s take a look at some reasons why MSU will win the Big Ten – again.
