Things in ACC basketball look a bit differently with conference play around the corner. Here’s a look at the current state of the conference.

ACC Basketball is licking its wounds following the ACC/Big Ten Challenge that saw them go 1-6 on Day 1 of the annual event and finish 5-6 overall, dropping their second-consecutive challenge in the process.

Entering Saturday, the ACC boasts an overall record of 40-16, which ranks them ninth in terms of win percentage. They rank behind the likes of the West Coast, Southern, American, and Big East, though the conference has a lot more teams overall.

For reference though, the ACC finished fifth overall (.584) in win percentage among conference in 2019-20. It’s been quite the start for some teams in the conference this season.

The Duke Blue Devils are 2-2 on the season with two losses coming in Cameron Indoor Stadium, a rare feat, as they continue to search for a primary option in their rotation. The North Carolina Tar Heels have stumbled as well, though they’re 3-2 on the season, but their counterparts in the NC State Wolfpack (3-0) and Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-0) remain unbeaten.

Six teams are still undefeated with the biggest surprise being the Clemson Tigers, who are 4-0 after a blowout victory over the Indiana Hoosiers.
