9.  Who’s ready to break out for the Stanford Cardinal?

The Stanford Cardinal had a strong season going before dropping their final five games of the 2020-21 campaign in Pac-12 basketball play. They still finished 10-10 (6th in the Pac-12) and return with highly-rated freshman Harrison Ingram leading a class set to make a splash.

Ingram is a versatile threat that averaged 19.5 ppg, 10.9 rpg and 7.0 apg as a junior during his high school career and during a Covid-shortened seven-game senior season, he posted 22.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg and 8.4 apg. He recently won a gold medal with the USA squad in the 2021 FIBA U19 World Cup. He recorded a team-high 12 steals while averaging 4.6 ppg and 4.1 rpg.

After winning last season’s Most Improved Player award, Jaiden Delaire has a ton of room to grow in the Cardinal rotation as well. He has Conference Player of the Year potential entering into a new season. He knocked down a career-high 14 3-pointers while shooting a career-high 32.6 percent from behind the arc. As he continues to expand his game, look for his status to grow in the Stanford rotation.

There will be a number of new names in the Stanford rotation and with Delaire and Ingram leading the charge, the Cardinal could potentially find themselves back in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.
