7. Will Colorado continue to show it’s depth and defense?

Tad Boyle and his Colorado Buffaloes squad have taken the Pac-12 basketball world by storm with their depth and defense. They finished with the best scoring defense (63.8 ppg) in the conference and had one of the best bench units in Pac-12 basketball in 2020-21.

Colorado led the conference in points per game (25.3), 3-pointers made (9.6) and second in 3-point field goal percentage (38.3) while finishing third in the Pac-12 standings and a No. 22 ranking in the final AP Poll.

While a bit young, they do have three top 100 recruits joining the fold in 7-footer Lawson Lovering, KJ Simpson and wiry 6-foot-7 wing Quincy Allen. Those are just a few new names to know on a squad that plays a deep rotation.

After making their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016, they’ll look to make it two in a row with Evan Battey (10.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg) looking to make a bigger splash in 2021-22.
