Baylor basketball and head coach Scott Drew put their stamp on the college basketball landscape in 2020-21, with things culminating in their first-ever national championship in school history, upsetting undefeated Gonzaga, convincingly.

Coming off a historic season, Baylor basketball has its highest-ranked recruiting class in program history set to take make its impact in 2021-22. Head coach Scott Drew has done his due diligence in staking his claim as a powerhouse in Big 12 basketball and so far, it’s working.

They’ll need to replace a talented backcourt of MaCio Teague and Davion Mitchell, but with some quality newcomers, they should be competitive, at the very least, once again in 2021-22. Here’s a look at the Baylor Bears 2021 incoming recruiting class.

5. Jeremy Sochan

Sochan is a native of Germany out of Orange Academy and rated a four-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He’s an athletic forward that likes to run the lane and finish with authority at the rim. He’s got solid length and good footwork in the post and a budding ability to handle the ball.

He’s a 6-foot-8 prospect that can play either forward position with his rebounding and size at 220 pounds. He’s got a raw, fundamental skillset given his time spent in Germany, so it will be interesting to see how his game adjusts in Big 12 basketball play and beyond.
