Wisconsin basketball returns in 2021-22 after making last year’s Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament as No. 9 seed and falling to eventual national champion, Baylor. Their fortunes this season aren’t looking too good from a rotational perspective this year.

As they look to replace seven players from last year’s roster, it could be a season of growing pains for head coach Greg Gard and company. Brad Davison and Jonathan Davis will need to prove they can co-exist in the Wisconsin backcourt for things to click in a hurry.

They’re limited in returning experience in a Big Ten basketball conference that features an All-Star cast of coaches on the recruiting trail. The seat could be heating up for Gard if he’s not able to keep things on the up-and-up.

He’s got some pieces to keep things trending upward, at least on paper, but with some question marks in the rotation and some recent losses on the recruiting trail, the days could be numbered.

The Badgers will welcome seven newcomers to their lineup. Depending on how well they can adjust, things in Madison could be a bit gloomy for Wisconsin basketball fans this season. Here’s a look at the projected starting lineup and depth chart for Wisconsin basketball in 2021-22.
