Guard/Wing

Jonathan Davis returns set to take on a bigger role in the starting lineup for Wisconsin basketball after they look to shake off a tumultuous offseason. Davis is a strong breakout candidate for Indiana basketball heading in after turning in solid numbers in his college debut in 2020-21.

The 6-foot-5 guard posted 7.0 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 1.1 apg, and 1.1 spg off the bench while knocking down 14-of-36 (38.9 percent) of his 3-pointers this past year.

He was a member of the U19 Team USA squad that won the gold medal in the FIBA World Cup in Latvia this past summer. After showing his stuff on the USA Basketball stage, look for some of that to carry over into the Indiana basketball rotation in 2021-22.

Jachobi Neath is another name that could see time at the guard/wing spot given what he can do off the ball with his shooting inside the arc.

After that, things get a bit murky for the Badgers, at least in terms of experience. Isaac Lindsey didn’t play this past season and Justin Taphorn made just seven appearances in 2020-21. They’re two names with room to prove themselves in the backcourt this season.
