Power Forward

Race Thompson is the leading name at the power forward spot for Indiana basketball. He’s a 6-foot-8 forward that’s familiar to Indiana basketball fans already. He saw vast improvements in his production in 2020-21, despite the outcome.

He produced 9.1 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.4 apg and 1.3 bpg in their frontcourt after starting in all 27 games this past season and looks to be a formidable force in the frontcourt alongside Trayce Jackson-Davis once again.

Thompson is a prospect that can provide the Hoosiers with a two-way presence on the interior. He turned in a team-best 97.8 defensive rating this past year and returns as arguably their best defender in the paint. Look for him to play a solid role in Coach Woodson’s turnaround.

Jordan Geronimo has a chance to appear at the 4-spot as well. He’s a strong-framed prospect at 6-foot-6, 220 pounds that can stretch the floor with his ability to knock down shots.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to see Trayce Jackson-Davis shift over to the 4-spot, either. Given his knack for playing on the interior, Thompson can certainly slide over to the 5-spot. There’s room for some versatility with this group, that’s for sure.
