Center

Michael Durr and Logan Duncomb are the leading names to take over the center position for Indiana basketball. Durr is the more experienced of the duo as a transfer from USF. He appeared with the Bulls from 2018-21, developing his game along the way around the rim.

The 7-foot big man put up career-highs in scoring and rebounds this past season with 8.8 ppg and 7.9 rpg in 2020-21 with USF basketball. Across 87 appearances (85 starts), he produced 6.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg, and 1.0 bpg while shooting 47.2 percent from the field. With a faster pace and more scoring opportunities, his production should rise as well.

Duncomb joins the Indiana basketball rotation as a freshman member of their 2021 recruiting class. He’s a 6-foot-9, 235-pound big man out of Archbishop Moeller in Cincinnati, where he posted 13.5 ppg, 9.1 rpg, 2.3 apg and 1.3 bpg in the final season of his prep career.

Race Thompson is another name with potential to play the 5-spot if Durr needs a blow or gets in foul trouble. There are some nice rotational pieces in the frontcourt Coach Woodson has to work with in his first season to make things a success.
