Wing/Forward

Bryce McGowens is a highly-regarded name that joins the Nebraska basketball rotation with a ton of potential on the wing. He’s an electric 6-foot-6 prospect out of Legacy Early College (SC) that chose Nebraska over Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, and Florida State.

As a senior, he put up 21.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 3.1 apg and 1.1 bpg to close out his prep career, so he’s certainly a prospect with a ton of versatility and potential as a defender, rebounder and playmaker on the floor.

His length should allow him to play the 3-spot where he’ll roam both inside and out. He’ll look to be an instant impact player right away in Hoiberg’s system and fill the void left by the departure of Teddy Allen.

Trevor Lakes is set to play the backup role once again as he did soundly in 2020-21. He averaged 3.2 ppg and 1.1 rpg in 9.6 minutes per game this past season and has room to grow more in 2021-22.

CJ Wilcher is another capable name of sliding over to the 3-spot and giving McGowens some rest when needed. He’s capable of playing multiple roles on the floor with his size at 6-foot-5.

Keon Edwards is another new face out of DePaul with room to grow in the rotation. He’s a 6-foot-7 prospect with potential as an athletic slasher and perimeter threat that joins the lineup.
