Key reserves

Guard/Forward – Kaiden Rice, Grad. Transfer

Kaiden Rice is another addition out of the transfer portal from The Citadel that should make his presence felt right away. He could find his way into the starting rotation before long considering his ability to shoot the ball on the perimeter. He averaged 17.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, and 1.1 apg while shooting 34.8 percent from behind the arc. Rice made 3.7 3-pointers per game and will look to bring a similar production to the perimeter scoring attack. His 6-foot-7 size could allow him to play multiple positions as well.

Center – Ryan Mutombo, Frosh.

Ryan Mutombo is a big man set to make an immediate impact in the Hoyas frontcourt in 2021-22. He’s the son of former Hall of Fame standout Dikembe Mutombo and carries a similar pedigree into the rotation at 6-foot-11 and 235 pounds. He averaged 24.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg, and 4.0 bpg at Lovett School (GA) in 2020-21 to close out his career.

Guard – Jordan Riley, Frosh.

Jordan Riley is a 6-foot-4 guard out of Brentwood, New York that has an opportunity to play either guard spot and can even appear on the wing for Georgetown basketball given his length and strong frame. He runs the lanes well and moves well without the ball to find his spots on the floor to make an impact.

Guard – Tyler Beard, Frosh.

Tyler Beard is another member of the Georgetown basketball recruiting class with the potential to make an impact at the backup point guard role. He spent a prep year at Hargrave Military Academy where he excelled as a defender and finisher in the paint. He’s got potential to play an early role in their backcourt.
