Key reserves

Guard – Myles Tate, Soph.

Myles Tate is one of just two players who appeared in all 25 games in 2020-21, though he’s returning from an injury that knocked him out of the last game of the season. Tate started in 18 of 25 contests, producing 6.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 2.3 apg and 1.2 apg. He’s a guard who got a ton of experience in the backcourt and should be the first guard off the bench in 2021-22.

Forward – Ty Groce, Grad. Student

Ty Groce is a solid addition out of the transfer portal from Eastern Michigan that’s quite the two-way presence. He averaged 15.2 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.3 spg across 18 games, all starts, in the frontcourt. He’ll be another veteran frontcourt presence looking to make a name for himself as a scorer and disruptor around the rim.

Guard/Wing – Bo Hodges, Senior

Bo Hodges is a veteran guard that was on quite the trajectory in 2020-21 before a calf injury sidelined him after nine games. He put up 8.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg and 2.3 apg on 33.3 percent shooting from behind the arc and returns looking to boost the Butler basketball backcourt depth. He’s a 6-foot-5 prospect that can guard a variety of positions as well.

Forward – Christian David, Senior

Christian David made 11 appearances in 2020-21 after returning from a torn ACL injury. After averaging 1.8 ppg across 12.3 minutes per contest, he’ll look to show he’s ready to contribute more off the bench in 2021-22.

Forward – Myles Wilmoth, Soph.

Myles Wilmoth is a 6-foot-9 forward that should see some more minutes in the frontcourt after making 23 appearances in 2020-21 in his debut. He put up 1.7 ppg and 2.6 rpg across 14.8 minutes per game.
