Florida State basketball enters the 2021-22 season prime to make another run to the NCAA Tournament under head coach Leonard Hamilton. The Seminoles have made three straight appearances in the Sweet 16 and are ranked No. 20 in the AP Preseason Top 25 Poll atop the ACC basketball rankings.

They’ll return just three players from last season’s squad with starting experience, but for a team that’s always been more focused on depth, that shouldn’t be an issue. Their strength will be in their additions, particularly with Caleb Mills (Houston), Cam’Ron Fletcher (Kentucky), and top-rated freshman forward Matthew Cleveland.

RayQuan Evans, Anthony Polite, and Malik Osborne will look to provide the energy and set the tone, but this squad will have an interesting blend of old and new to work with heading into a new college basketball season.

Eight returners will surround six newcomers for Florida State basketball as they shouldn’t have any issue with veteran experience. Their new faces will need to show they can contribute right away though, or the Seminoles could find themselves in unfamiliar territory in 2021-22.

There will be some adjustments to make but with a veteran coach like Leonard Hamilton, there should be no need to panic. Here’s a look at the Florida State basketball season preview and outlook for the Seminoles.
