2021-22 season outlook

Florida State basketball will have an interesting blend of old and new to work with as they look to make it four-straight appearances in the Sweet 16 and five consecutive appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 2021-22. Their newcomers will need to step up, but based on Leonard Hamilton’s style of play, things should work out.

The Seminoles had four scorers finish averaging double-figures and five averaged at least 4.0 rpg this past season and with a ton of experienced guys ready to step up, they’re geared to do the same this year. Florida State basketball boasted the best scoring offense (77.2 ppg) and best scoring bench (30.3 ppg) this past season and they boast a similar formula to do the same in 2021-22.

Florida State basketball has some quality games on their non-conference schedule and of course, the ACC basketball schedule, which should give them some confidence by the time March arrives.

They’ll need their current rotation to prove they can fill the void left by some key departures from last year. If they can prove up to the task, they should find themselves at the top of the conference and as a single-digit seed once again in the NCAA Tournament.
