2021-22 season outlook

Kansas basketball has an opportunity to be a very good group once again in 2021-22. They’ve got the formula, after an offseason that saw a lot of roster turnover, to have a lot more depth and variety on offense, which should bode well for them with the likes of Michigan State and Kentucky on the schedule.

David McCormack is fresh off second-team All-Big 12 honors with room to do a whole lot more in the middle and with Remy Martin set to draw a ton of attention, he’s set to be a breakout name for the Big 12 Player of the Year award.

Ochai Agbaji and Jalen Wilson won’t be forgotten about on offense, either. Agbaji returns as their top scorer from a season ago while Wilson is set to do more damage on the rebounding front after getting a year of playing time under his belt.

Remy Martin, Cam Martin, and  Jalen Coleman-Lands will be looked upon to make their impact right away but Cam Martin and Coleman-Lands won’t have too much pressure on them with potential reserve roles on the horizon. That should help their adjustment by the time January arrives for this group.

Kansas basketball is set to be a talented bunch with Final Four aspirations on their mind heading into March. Look for them to be the team to beat in Big 12 basketball action.
