Key reserves

Forward – Jaylin Williams, Soph.

Jaylin Williams will move to the bench after starting in 26 of his 27 appearances in 2020-21 but he’ll be the first forward off the bench and should still play a ton of minutes given what he can do in the frontcourt. He averaged 10.9 ppg, 4.7 RPG, and 2.0 apg and shot 51.8 percent from the floor and 34 percent from behind the arc this past season.

Guard – Devan Cambridge, Junior

Devan Cambridge is another returner looking to make his mark in the rotation. He’s got a ton of versatility under his belt at 6-foot-6 and veteran experience after averaging 8.9 ppg and 3.6 rpg this past season. He’ll be another indispensable guy to have off the bench for Auburn basketball in 2021-22.

Guard – Zep Jasper, Senior

Zep Jasper joins the Auburn basketball lineup after spending the past three seasons at the College of Charleston in the CAA. He was an All-CAA Defense first-team selection in 2020-21 after posting 15.6 ppg, 3.7 RPG, and 2.6 apg across 19 appearances. He’ll look to bring a similar defensive pedigree to the Tigers rotation.

Center – Babatunde Akingbola, Junior

Big man Babatunde Akingbola had a solid 2020-21 season off the bench and should bring size to the frontcourt in 2021-22. The 6-foot-10 junior made appearances in all 27 games this past year, averaging 1.9 ppg and 2.6 rpg across 10.9 minutes per game.

Forward/Center – Dylan Cardwell, Soph

Dylan Cardwell is another up-and-coming name Auburn basketball fans can get to know. He should give the Tigers some depth at the 4/5 spot. He’s a 6-foot-11 prospect that averaged 3.8 ppg and 3.6 rpg on 70.5 percent shooting from the field in 2020-21.

Forward/Wing – Chris Moore, Soph.

Chris Moore is another name with some experience from 2020-21 that should earn some minutes at the 2/3/4 spot in the lineup. He averaged 2.8 ppg and 2.0 rpg in 11.3 minutes per contest across 25 appearances this past year.
