Key reserves

Forward – Jordan Geronimo, Soph.

Geronimo returns for Indiana basketball after a decent debut in 2020-21, averaging 2.2 ppg and 1.8 rpg as a freshman across 21 appearances. He has underrated length at 6-foot-6 to go along with a solid 225-pound frame. His production should go up as their first big man off the bench, especially on the rebounding front.

Wing/Forward – Miller Kopp, Senior

Kopp is another transfer that joins the rotation from fellow Big Ten basketball foe, Northwestern. He’s a 6-foot-7 forward that can play inside and out as a versatile perimeter shooter. He averaged 11.3 ppg and 3.0 rpg while shooting 33 percent from 3-point range in 2020-21.

Point Guard – Rob Phinisee, Senior

Phinisee should be a solid backup to Johnson with his ability to make plays for his teammates and not turn the ball over. He’s an experienced veteran off the bench that should add depth to their reserve unit and still see a ton of minutes after starting a ton in 2020-21.

Guard – Trey Galloway, Soph.

Galloway is a young returner from Indiana basketball’s 2020-21 squad that appeared in 19.6 minutes per contest across 25 games (7 starts), putting up 3.6 ppg, 1.9 rpg, and 1.6 apg. He’s another combo guard that can do a little bit of everything in the backcourt off the bench.

Guard – Khristian Lander, Soph

Lander is another younger returner in the backcourt from last year’s rotation. He produced 2.1 ppg and 1.2 apg across 26 contests. He’ll serve as the third guard in the lineup with his ability to score and make plays for others.
