NBA Draft 2022: 5 Big Ten basketball players improving their draft stock
6-foot-2 senior Trent Frazier, Guard, Illinois Fighting Illini
Trent Frazier has proven to be one of a few pivotal pieces in the Illinois basketball backcourt on their quest for the top spot in the Big Ten basketball ranks. He returned to Champaign after testing the NBA Draft waters and expanded his game as more than a sharpshooter on the perimeter.
He’s producing a career-high 3.6 apg to go along with 13.1 ppg and 3.1 rpg while still shooting 35.2 percent from 3-point range and 41 percent from the field. He’s even turned up his play on the defensive end of the ball and emerged as their top backcourt defender as a result.

The 6-foot-2 combo guard has shown he can make things happen on both ends of the floor sporting an offensive rating of 114.6 and a defensive rating of 97.4 which are numbers that should attract NBA teams at the next level.
His name should be slowly climbing up the radar in this year’s NBA Draft class. Frazier has made the most of his fifth year of eligibility in the Illinois basketball rotation. He’s filled the void in a big way with Andre Curbelo being sidelined with an injury this season and has been stellar as their lead guard or off the ball in the starting lineup.
