6-foot-8 senior Bryson Williams, Forward, Texas Tech Red Raiders

Bryson Williams has raised the profile of Texas Tech basketball and has begun to emerge as a tweener at the forward spot this season. If he can continue to raise his play, it could catapult him up some NBA Draft boards when June arrives.

Williams is a player that’s landed on his feet since hitting the transfer portal from UTEP as a grad transfer. Now, he’s putting up 13.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and 1.2 apg He’s a growing presence around the rim that’s leading Big 12 basketball in field goal percentage (54.9 percent) and offensive rating (126.3) on one of the hottest teams in the conference.

He went off for a season-high 33 points against the Jayhawks in a tough double-overtime loss on the road on 14-of-19 shooting from the field and 4-of-4 shooting from 3-point range back on Jan. 29. This came after a 22-point, 8-rebound, 3-assists performance on 9-of-13 shooting from the field and a made 3-pointer in a 75-67 victory over Kansas back on Jan. 8.

Williams is a strong, mobile forward that can rebound the ball and score in bunches around the rim and he’s also coming along as a 3-point threat as well. As he shows his development on the perimeter, he’s a player that should draw some interest as a potential prospect in the NBA Draft.
