Baylor Scheierman, 6’6 Point Guard, Creighton Bluejays

Baylor Scheierman was a star at the mid-major level this past season with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits and looks to join the Big East ranks with the Creighton Bluejays and do more of the same after a stellar year in 2021-22.

He was last year’s Summit League Player of the Year after posting 16.2 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 4.5 apg, and 1.3 spg while shooting 46.9 percent from 3-point range and 50.8 percent from the field. He’s a big floor general that can do a little bit of everything and will look to show off his ability to be a star with the Bluejays in the Big East.

It’s worth noting, Scheierman led the Summit league this past season in both assists (158) and rebounds (274) while finishing second in total points (568). He’s a do-it-all guard with a ton of potential. He also finished second in the conference in steals (47) and third in 3-pointers made (83) this past season.

The Bluejays have had their fair share of success in the past with point guards, Marcus Zegarowski being the most recent in 2020-21. As Scheierman looks to improve his stock at the next level, he’ll look to catapult Creighton to a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.
