Clifton Moore, 6’10 Forward/Center, Providence Friars

It will be the third and final stop for Moore, who’s spent three seasons at La Salle and two at Indiana in the Big Ten. He’s developed a lot more since his first stint with the Hoosiers and posted career-high numbers in 2021-22 with the Explorers.

Moore averaged 12.9 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 2.8 bpg, and 1.2 apg, showing off his ability to fly around the floor on both ends and make plays at the rim. He also shot 49 percent from the field while generating a 102.0 defensive rating. In his best outing this past season against Fordham, he went off for 26 points, eight rebounds, and five blocks back on Dec. 30.

His production should flourish in the Friars’ rotation given the grit and grind style they also play with. He finished second in the Atlantic 10 this past year in blocks (83), which also ranked 14th in the NCAA as well.

After winning the regular season championship in 2021-22, the Friars have gone out and strengthened their defense even more with a wiry forward in Clifton Moore. With Al Durham and Nate Watson gone, Jared Bynum will need some help from Moore down low if they hope to make another run in the NCAA Tournament.
