Ezra Manjon, 5’11 Point Guard, Vanderbilt Commodores

5-foot-11 floor general Ezra Manjon looks to turn things around for the Vanderbilt Commodores after three seasons of positive returns in the Big West with the UC-Davis Aggies. He’s a heady floor general that brings with a ton of experience as a distributor and scorer inside the 3-point arc.

Manjon spent 2019-22 with the Aggies where he started in all 74 appearances he made, posting 13.9 ppg, 3.6 apg, and 3.1 rpg while shooting 43.7 percent from the field across his career in the Big West. He won the Big West Rookie of the Year award in 2019-20 and earned second-team All-Big West (2019-21) and first-team All-Big West (2021-22) honors throughout his time with UC-Davis.

He’s a speedy floor general that’s not afraid to get paint touches and finish in the paint despite his size. He’s got a fearless ability to push the tempo that should help the Vanderbilt backcourt turn a corner in 2022-23.

Lee Dort, Noah Shelby, and Colin Smith will certainly draw a ton of attention as top recruits in their 2022 class, but Manjon will be responsible for running the show and replace the pedigree Scottie Pippen Jr. (20.4 ppg) brought on offense. While he may not score nearly as much, his ability to distribute and make things happen off the dribble should improve the Commodores’ backcourt in more ways than one.
