Justin Hill, 6’0 Point Guard, Georgia Bulldogs

Justin Hill was one of the top players in the Big South with the Longwood Lancers in 2021-22 and in 2023, he’s upped the ante by joining the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC to finish out the rest of his two years of college eligibility.

Hill led Longwood to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in school history. They won their first Big South Conference Tournament and regular season title with Hill leading the charge at floor general.

First-year head coach Mike White has gone deep into the portal to bring in new talent as Hill is one of seven new additions from the transfer portal set to make an impact in the Bulldogs’ rotation this upcoming year.

Hill is a floor general that plays big, so-to-speak, as his numbers show. He posted 14.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 4.1 apg, and 1.5 spg while shooting 41.9 percent from the floor and 34.3 percent from 3-point range in 2021-22 with the Lancers.

He finished third in the Big South in assists (127) and fourth in steals (48) while maintaining a defensive rating of 96.7, 12th in the conference, this past season. Coach White hopes his ability to push the pace and make things happen as a scorer, playmaker and defender will turn things around for a Georgia program that went 6-26 a season ago.
