SEC Basketball: Top transfer addition for each team for 2022-23 season
Antonio Reeves, 6’4 Wing/Guard, Kentucky Wildcats
Last year’s Most Improved Player from the MVC is a member of the Kentucky Wildcats now, as former Illinois State Redbirds star Antonio Reeves looks to finish up his career in the SEC. Reeves made quite the impression on the MVC in the past three seasons.
Reeves is a shifty prospect that can find his shot off the bounce and off the catch in open space on all three levels. He’ll look to emerge as a focal point in the Wildcats’ offense this upcoming season as their lone addition out of the transfer portal.

He averaged 20.1 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.8 apg, and 1.1 spg while going 46.9 percent from the field and 39 percent from the 3-point arc. He finished fourth in the MVC this past season in 3-pointers made (76) and field goals made (161).
Reeves went off for a career-high 34 points this past February in a victory over Valparaiso, going 5-of-8 from deep and 8-of-13 from inside the arc to pace his squad, showing off his knack for efficient shooting performances in the backcourt.
He made an average of 2.3 3-point makes per contest and made at least one 3-pointer in all but one game a season ago. He’ll look to continue his development with a successful season in the Wildcats rotation.
