Dashawn Davis, 6’2 Point Guard, Mississippi State Bulldogs

Dashawn Davis looks to start anew in the SEC with the Mississippi State Bulldogs after spending this past season with the Oregon State Beavers in the Pac-12. Davis was one of the bright spots for the Beavers on a squad that went just 3-28 in 2021-22. He’ll look to turn things around on that front as one of four additions out of the transfer portal.

Davis will take his skillset East after producing 10.9 ppg, 5.5 apg, 3.1 rpg, and 1.4 spg in his first season of NCAA basketball. He started in 21 of his 27 appearances for the Beavers, shooting 45.7 from the field in the backcourt.

He led the Pac-12 in assists per game as one of the lead floor generals in the conference this past season. He dished a career-high 11 assists back on Feb. 28 against the Washington Huskies while still notching 13 points in the contest.

He’s an athletic guard with good size at 185 pounds that he uses well to operate as a distributor and downhill threat that can finish with authority when tested. His greater test will be adjusting his game to the speed of the SEC and show he can lead the Bulldogs to success in 2022-23.
