David N’Guessan, 6’9 Forward/Center, Kansas State Wildcats

David N’Guessan joins the Big 12’s Kansas State Wildcats from the transfer portal after a short stint in the ACC with the Virginia Tech Hokies. He was a player that was a bit underutilized and looked to move elsewhere in the portal.

N’Guessan brings with him a ton of ACC experience from the Hokies, though it’s mostly off the bench as a reserve. He made 57 appearances across the past two seasons, putting up 3.3 ppg and 2.6 rpg across just 12.1 minutes per game. With a bigger role on the horizon, he’s got a chance to break into the Wildcats’ frontcourt as quite the two-way presence.

He’s improved over time with the Hokies in the ACC and went for 10 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks in a victory over Cornell back on Dec. 8 this past season. He played 23 minutes off the bench in that one.

He worked his way into the rotation as a freshman with the Hokies. In nearly double the minutes as a sophomore, N’Guessan finished with a total of 132 points, 98 rebounds, 24 assists, and 22 blocks, all career-high marks for him. With a fresh start in the Big 12, he’ll look to be a bigger force in the Kansas State lineup.
