Ethan Wright, 6’4 Guard, Colorado Buffaloes

Ethan Wright is one of two Ivy League imports from the transfer portal who will join the Colorado Buffaloes rotation in 2022-23. The graduate transfer chose to make the leap to the PAC-12 after spending the past three seasons with the Princeton Tigers. They’re also bringing in former Yale guard Jalen Gabiddon as well.

Wright posted 14.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.7 apg, and 1.1 spg while shooting 50 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from 3-point range in the Tigers lineup in 2021-22. He finished as a second-team All-Ivy League performer after finishing fifth in the conference in total points (442), third in rebounds (206), and eighth in steals (32) as a two-way threat in the Princeton backcourt.

He will bring some Ivy League prowess to the Buffaloes’ backcourt in the PAC-12, with his ability to crash the glass and be a factor in the paint as well as his ability to knock down shots on the perimeter.

He’s gone through his fair share of adversity as a member of the Tigers already, not having a regular season in 2020-21 before getting back to the hardwood in 2021-22. He’ll be looked upon to lead the perimeter attack and defense in the backcourt for Colorado as they look to make more history.
