Kansas Basketball is in the midst of the transfer portal, having both landed a key transfer pickup and still after a few more targets. Just a week ago, the team landed Nick Timberlake, a transfer from Towson. He’s one of the top shooting guard free agents overall, averaging 17.7 ppg last season.

He’s the first and currently, the lone commitment for the Jayhawks but reportedly, they’re in the works for a few more transfer targets. Here’s an update on two players they’ve been after, along with a look at the two newest players into play.

Hunter Dickinson – Michigan Wolverines

Since the last update on Kansas Basketball transfer targets, Dickinson has gone on a visit with the program, with it reportedly going well. But two new juggernauts are involved, in Kentucky and Villanova. He’s visited the Wildcats this week and will be seeing Villanova this weekend. Look for this recruitment to take a while but the Jayhawks should still feel as if they’re a legit contender for the top player in the portal.

Primo Spears – Georgetown Hoyas

Another slow recruitment that has gone on is Spears, who originally had Kansas Basketball among his top four options a month ago. Since then, three of them have dropped out, while Florida State has emerged as the biggest threat to the Hoya ball-handler. They recently lost both Matthew Cleveland and Caleb Mills so can definitely make a compelling argument to Spears, while the Jayhawks can offer a better-winning situation.
