Shooting Guard

Starter – Davonte Davis (24 mpg)

Davonte Davis returns as the lone starter with a ton of experience for Arkansas this season, especially scoring the ball. Davis put up 10.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.4 spg on 34.6 percent shooting from deep and 41.5 percent shooting from the field in 2022-23. He was an All-Defensive selection this past season and with a lot of departures from the scoring department, there’s room to grow into a bigger role in 2023-24.

At 6-foot-4, he’s shown he’s capable of knocking down shots all over the floor. He finished 18th in field goals made (144) and 19th in 3-pointers made (47) to wrap up the year as well. Look for him to grow as a leader on this squad this season.

Bench – Khalif Battle (10 mpg), Jeremiah Davenport (6 mpg)

Khalif Battle enters the fold following a successful 2022-23 campaign that saw him appear in 27 games, with just eight starts. Look for Battle to play the role of Sixth Man heavily this year. He’s built for it at 6-foot-5, 185 pounds. He put up 17.9 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.8 apg, and 1.0 spg this past season for the Temple Owls across 32.2 minutes per game. Look for his minutes to fluctuate around 20-25 this year.

Jeremiah Davenport is another newcomer for the Razorbacks out of the AAC with Cincinnati. He played primarily a reserve role this past season, appearing in 36 games with just 15 starts. He produced 9.1 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 1.5 apg on 33 percent shooting from behind the arc. Given the depth they possess, Davenport could find himself short on minutes as a third option.
