Point Guard

Starter – Sean Pedulla (35 mpg)

Sean Pedulla looks to produce even more after a solid sophomore season in the starting rotation for the Hokies in 2022-23. Pedulla was a breakout performer while starting in all 34 appearances he made, finishing with 15.0 ppg, 3.8 apg, 3.6 rpg, and 1.2 spg on 34.4 percent shooting from behind the arc. He went off for a career-high 25 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor, 6-of-8 from 3-point land, back on March 4 in a victory over Florida State.

Pedulla saw his production grow after being inserted into the starting rotation this past season. He’ll have to make more plays for Virginia Tech’s offense as one of their top returners. He’ll look to change the pace and up his production on all fronts as the leading name for them this winter.

Bench – Brandon Rechsteiner (5 mpg)

Brandon Rechsteiner is the first newcomer to get to know on the depth chart. He’s a 6-foot-1 guard out of Etowah High (GA) who won GACA/GBCA 6A North Player of the Year while producing 18.0 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 5.1 apg and 2.8 spg in his final season of high school ball. He’ll look to bring his playmaking pedigree to the backup point guard role.
