USC Basketball: Projected starting lineup and depth chart for 2023-24 season
USC Basketball was an NCAA Tournament team this past season, finishing in a tie for second in the conference standings while going 22-11 on the year under head coach Andy Enfield. They’ve made three straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament as they look to keep their streak going and then some with another season on the horizon.
The Trojans have already made headlines early in the preseason after Bronny James went into cardiac arrest during a preseason workout. While his status to begin the season will probably be delayed, his ability when at full strength should improve the USC backcourt tremendously.
Though James could miss extended time, the rest of the team is at full strength. USC returns seven players from last season including last season’s leading scorer Boogie Ellis. They’ll add one player out of the transfer portal in D.J. Rodman as they look to bolster their frontcourt presence with a versatile forward. He should be a solid pairing with returning forward Kobe Johnson who is set to grow into a bigger role in 2023-24.
Isaiah Collier, the No. 1 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class, is their biggest overall addition as he looks to be a terror alongside Boogie Ellis in the backcourt. Collier brings with him Arrinten Page and Brandon Gardner alongside Bronny James, whose status remains unknown currently as the Trojans look to remain on top in the Pac-12.
The Trojans have a chance to be a talented bunch this upcoming year. Take a look at the starting lineup and depth chart for USC for the 2023-24 season.
