Key Reserves

Desmond Claude, Guard

Desmond Claude is probably one of the biggest returners in the Xavier lineup given his experience. He earned Big East All-Freshmen honors in his debut season, posting 4.7 ppg, 2.5 rpg and 1.8 apg across 35 appearances. As he improves on his perimeter shooting and overall efficiency, look for his status to continue to grow in his sophomore year.

Trey Green, Guard

Green is a crafty 6-foot guard prospect out of Prolific Prep looking to make a splash in the Musketeers backcourt. He’ll be another guard they can rely on as a playmaker and scorer given his prowess with the ball. He produced 16.5 ppg, 4.0 apg and 2.0 rpg as a high school senior.

Reid Ducharme, Wing/Guard

Ducharme is a freshman out of Brewster Academy who should bolster the rotation with his versatility and perimeter skills. He shot 37.7 percent from deep on 11.1 ppg, 2.4 rpg and 1.7 apg in a rotation that had nine seniors commit to DI programs. He’s a 6-foot-8 wing prospect who should contribute in his freshman year.

Lazar Đjokovic, Forward/Center

Đjokovic was a late addition to the 2023 recruiting class for the Musketeers but his international experience should greatly benefit the team given the injuries to Freemantle and Hunter. He’s a 6-foot-10 big man who should provide reserve minutes in the frontcourt as a stretch-forward prospect. He was a standout in the FIBA U19 World Cup, posting 14.9 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 3.1 apg and 1.0 spg on 55.4 percent from the floor and 37.5 percent from behind the arc this past June.
