Projected starting lineup

Point Guard: Wade Taylor IV

Taylor was a breakout performer with the Aggies in his sophomore season. He produced 16.3 ppg, 3.9 apg, 2.7 rpg and 1.7 spg on 35.6 percent shooting from deep in 2022-23 and returns with a whole lot more to prove to enter his junior season. Taylor didn’t earn any All-Conference awards after finishing fifth in 3-pointers made (79) in the SEC, fourth in points (572) and fifth in assists (137) this past season. Look for that to change as he continues to lead this Aggies offense.

Shooting Guard: Tyrece Radford

Radford returns for his fifth year looking to continue to show off his ability to rebound the ball at 6-foot-2. He averaged 5.3 rpg along with 13.3 ppg and 2.4 apg on 31.3 percent shooting from the floor and 38.6 percent shooting from the floor in his second season with the Aggies. He finished 13th in the SEC in offensive rating (114.1) and 20th in rebounds (185) and returns as the “glue guy” for their rotation in 2023-24.

Small Forward/Wing: Jace Carter

Carter will replace Dexter Dennis and his contributions at the small forward/wing role. He was a second-team All-MVC performer with UIC this past season, averaging 16.6 ppg, 7.0 rpg, 1.8 spg and 1.6 apg on 30.1 percent shooting from deep and 45.6 percent shooting from the field. He’ll be a two-way 6-foot-5 presence who should bring some more creativity to the offensive fold.

Power Forward: Julius Marble

Marble moves into the power forward role, which better suits him at 6-foot-8. He’s proved he could hold his own in his first year in the conference this past year with 9.1 ppg and 4.1 rpg on 53.3 percent shooting from the field. He’ll share the power-forward minutes this year with Henry Coleman III now that they have a true center.

Center/Forward: Wildens Leveque

Leveque is an underrated interior presence out of the Atlantic 10’s UMass looking to make a splash with the Aggies this upcoming season. He’s a 7-foot presence who’s shown he can be a two-way presence with his production of 5.5 ppg, 4.6 rpg and 1.2 bpg across just 19.6 minutes of action. With bigger direction as an anchor in the SEC, look for him to be a strong addition to the frontcourt this season.
