Key Reserves

Micah Peavy, Guard

Peavy will lead the bench brigade for the Horned Frogs, and they have the potential to be very good. He’s capable of operating at either guard role after producing 7.0 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 1.2 apg and 1.0 spg across 30 appearances this past season. He may not be the first man off the bench but he’ll certainly play a ton of minutes off the bench heading into his senior season.

Trey Tennyson, Guard

Tennyson is another transfer portal addition joining the TCU rotation from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. He’s a two-time All-Southland performer with quite the perimeter prowess as a shot maker. He finished second in the conference this past season in 3-pointers made (100), 19th across all of college basketball. He’ll be another addition looking to make an instant impact.

JaKobe Coles, Forward/Wing

Coles grew into quite the role player off the bench in 2022-23 for the Horned Frogs. He made the most of his 16.7 minutes per contest, posting 8.6 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 1.2 apg across 35 appearances. As he continues to develop, look for him to continue his impressive production with more opportunities on the horizon in 2023-24.

Xavier Cork, Forward

Cork is another returning face in the TCU rotation as he approaches Year 3 with the squad. He showed more production with a bigger opportunity in the frontcourt this past year, posting 4.4 ppg and 2.6 rpg on 57.7 percent shooting from the floor across 35 appearances (16 starts). He’s a sizeable big man at 6-foot-9 who should compete for minutes in the frontcourt.

Essam Mostafa, Forward/center

Mostafa is another transfer portal addition looking to close out his college basketball career in the Big 12 with TCU. He spent the past four seasons at Coastal Carolina, where he developed into a double-double machine in their frontcourt. He posted 12.4 ppg and a career-high 10.0 rpg on 55.2 percent shooting from the floor in 2022-23. He should provide quite the anchor support for this group given his size and production.
