Tyrese Proctor continues to prove his case as a top pick

Tyrese Proctor is a name who continues to climb up the radar as a top pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. He didn’t have the greatest night shooting the ball but he offset things with his ability to run the show on offense at the point guard position. Proctor finished with an impressive stat line, racking up 13 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals, showing he could overcome the top-rated backcourt on the other side.

Proctor did a tremendous job of proving his draft stock as more than just a scorer on the hardwood as he led the Blue Devils in the assist department with six assists in the victory and also showed his effectiveness as a rebounder in the painted area.

There were a lot of questions about Proctor’s ability to co-exist in the backcourt with Jeremy Roach this season and for the most part, they’ve managed those expectations quite well. While Proctor dished out six assists, Roach finished the game with five assists.

He’s proven he can play around other top prospects on the floor and in the Champions Classic, he showed he’s a force to be reckoned with running the show at point guard. At 6-foot-5, he possesses a ton of quality attributes that should intrigue scouts in the NBA.
