Potential Starters for Duke

Guard - Tyrese Proctor | 6'6 | 183 lbs.

Proctor is the first returning name to know with the Blue Devils. He fared well last year at the point guard role, producing 10.5 points, 3.7 assists, and 3.0 rebounds per game on 35.2 percent shooting from deep. He'll be their unsung pace-setter this season alongside Caleb Foster as he looks to lead by example with his play in his junior season.

Guard - Caleb Foster | 6'5 | 183 lbs

Foster is another returner set to move into the starting rotation in his sophomore season. He did well as both a reserve and starter this past season, averaging 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists on 40.6 percent shooting from 3-point range across 27 games (15 starts). He's an efficient perimeter threat due to breakout with this group in Year 2.

Wing/Guard - Kon Knueppel | 6'7 | 215 lbs.

Knueppel is probably the most versatile of the freshman starters in the mix for the Blue Devils. At 6-foot-7, 215 pounds, he's shown he can handle the rock as well as defend and rebound at a high level. He posted five rebounds, four assists and two steals on Sunday night. Don't be surprised to see Knueppel leading the scoring charge as he did in their exhibition, after leading the charge with 19 points in the victory.

Forward - Cooper Flagg | 6'9 | 205 lbs.

All eyes will be on Cooper Flagg for the Blue Devils as top pick in the NBA Draft. He's a shifty forward at 6-foot-9 who gives shades of Kyle Singler in the early going, though he's a lot more polished handling the ball and athletically gifted defensively. He's being brought along slowly in the rotation after scoring a cool nine points in their exhibition victory over the Sun Devils.

Center/Forward - Khaman Maluach | 7'2 | 250 lbs.

Maluach is an underrated name for the Duke frontcourt set to make a splash in his freshman debut. At 7-foot-2, he's shown he can be quite the mobile big. He's a big man who's shown already he can be a presence in the painted area. He put up 12 rebounds (3 offensive) and two blocks in Duke's easy exhibition victory over Arizona State on Sunday night.
