Head coach Damon Stoudamire and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets return in Year 2 with more to prove in 2024-25. Baye Ndongo, Naithan George and Kowacie Reeves Jr. are back for Coach Stoudamire and they'll add four names from the transfer portal as he continues to rebuild the program.

Things didn't go all bad for the Yellow Jackets in Year 1 under Coach Stoudamire. They won four of their last six games in ACC action to close out the regular season, showing signs of improvement as the year progressed. While a 12th-place finish isn't exactly a victory, seven victories in Year 1 is still something for Coach Stoudamire to build on.

Ndongo and George both had solid debuts on the college basketball scene and in the ACC in 2023-24. Ndongo finished an All-Freshmen season, leading the way with 12.4 points, 8.2 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. George showed off his ability to distribute the basketball, leading the team with 4.7 assists per game. He finished eighth in the conference in assists (135) as one of the top playmakers.

Now in Year 2, the duo will have more weapons around them and less pressure on them. The transfer portal additions are led by Oklahoma guard Javian McCollum. McCollum is another high-IQ guard who should strengthen the Yellow Jackets' backcourt, especially given his prowess getting to the free throw line. He shot 94.3 percent from the free-throw line this past season, ranking him second in all of college basketball.

Georgia Tech will look to a revamped backcourt, a few freshmen and four additions out of the transfer portal to turn things around in 2024-25. Take a look at the season preview.
