Overall schedule for Georgia Tech in 2024-25

Georgia Tech went 7-5 through last year's non-conference schedule, dropping games to UMass-Lowell, the Cincinnati Bearcats on the road and closing out the slate with a loss to Nevada in the Diamond Head Classic Championship game. They were a young squad who faced some growing pains then. This year, with more experience under their belt, they'll look to be a lot more successful.

They'll open things up on Nov. 6 at home against West Georgia, which should be an easy victory. Their next two games against North Florida (Nov. 10) and Texas Southern (Nov. 12) before facing Georgia (Nov. 15) and a rubber match at home against the Bearcats (Nov. 23). They'll look to avenge last year's 89-54 loss.

Charleston Southern (Nov. 23) and Central Arkansas (Nov. 30) at home will close out the month of November before the Yellow Jackets first game on the road. They'll face Javian McCollum's former team Oklahoma, in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Dec. 3 in Norman.

Then things should really get interesting as they'll travel to Chapel Hill on Dec. 7 to open up the ACC regular season schedule against the UNC Tar Heels. They'll square off with two more non-conference foes in Northwestern (Dec. 15) in the MKE Tip-Off and UMBC (Dec. 18) at home.

On Dec. 21, they'll host the Duke Blue Devils at home before closing out the non-conference schedule against Alabama A&M (Dec. 28). Their luck in the ACC schedule should change after the first two matchups as they'll only meet Notre Dame, Clemson, Boston College and Syracuse twice in ACC action. They'll also meet newcomers SMU (Jan. 11), Stanford (Feb. 12) and California (Feb. 15), which should make for interesting meetings on where the Yellow Jackets stand among teams across the conference landscape.

Last year, the Yellow Jackets dropped four ACC games in a row to open things up in January. It was quite the letdown following their upset victory over the top-ranked Duke Blue Devils back on Dec. 2. On the upside, they did manage to win four of their last six games in conference action to end the regular season. They'll look to get off to a much better start in conference play with a lot more than seven victories on their mind.
