Of the many top-100 class of 2026 prospects out of the state of Texas, one of the best is Bo Ogden, a 6’6 small forward out of Austin. At any level, whether in high school or the AAU Circuit, Ogden has shown himself to be a high-level scorer at all three levels.
The four-star wing is the latest notable player to announce a list of options, including an obvious local option. Which of them does Ogden fit with the best? Here’s a closer look at each of them.

Gonzaga Bulldogs
Gonzaga’s wing depth includes guys such as Emmanuel Innocenti, four-star freshman Davis Fogle, and Steele Venters, who could have another year of eligibility after next season, after missing two years via injury. There will be a need for a scoring option from the 2026 class with so many veterans on the roster and he can grow quickly into a top player in the Pac-12.
Kansas Jayhawks
The Jayhawks landed several transfers on the wings this offseason, including Tre White (Illinois) and Melvin Council Jr. (St. Bonaventure). There’s also Kohl Rosario, a 6’8 reclass guard/forward entering his freshman year. As a top-50 caliber prospect, Ogden is good enough to compete for a rotation spot, but it won't be a guarantee in any year.
Purdue Boilermakers
One potential starter at the three-spot for Purdue is Liam Murphy, a senior transfer from North Florida. Other options include Gicarri Harris and incoming freshman guard, Antonie West Jr. There’s going to be a need for true wings in the future, and Ogden would be a nice piece for the future core since all of the key players on the current roster are entering their final years.
Tennessee Vols
The Vols lost a ton of guards from last season, and on paper, the three-spot seems to be wide open. Five-star freshman Nate Ament is a combo forward, while four-star freshman Amari Evans and Louisiana Tech transfer Amaree Abram are also in the mix to get minutes there. While Ogden isn’t a perfect comparison to former Vols star Dalton Knecht, it’s an example of true scorers being able to thrive in Coach Rick Barnes’ system.
Texas Longhorns
Bo Ogden’s father is the current General Manager of the Texas Men’s Basketball program, and it's the hometown option for the player. From a roster standpoint, the team landed transfers Camden Hiede (Purdue) and Daiyln Swain (Xavier), both of whom are rising juniors. Ogden wouldn’t have much PT as a freshman, but there’s room afterward if he wanted to stay home to play at Texas.
Virginia Cavaliers
New Coach Ryan Odom will likely use a variety of three-guard lineups next season, with UC Irvine transfer Devin Tillis playing some four-man. There’s not much in terms of true wings on the current roster, so someone like Ogden is a needed early pickup in the 2026 class for the program. Plus, he fits well with Odom’s system if it looks like it did at VCU.
