One team is dominating brackets so far in March Madness 2025

The Duke Blue Devils are the most popular March Madness champion pick in pre-tournament brackets and the betting favorites to win it all.

Auburn grabbed the No. 1 overall seed on Selection Sunday, but after losing three of their final four games and getting bounced in the SEC Tournament semifinals, the Tigers are flying under the radar for fans filling out their 2025 March Madness brackets. According to the official March Madness social media, the Duke Blue Devils are the most popular pick to win it all, and by a wide margin.

Duke the most popular pick in March Madness brackets

Freshman phenom and unanimous First-Team All-American Cooper Flagg went down with an ankle injury in the Blue Devil’s ACC Tournament quarterfinal win over Georgia Tech and was sidelined for the next two games. Even without Flagg, the future No. 1 overall NBA draft pick, Duke snuck past North Carolina and defeated Louisville for the conference crown. Now, with Flagg set to return for the NCAA Tournament, the Blue Devils are the fan and betting favorite to win it all.

The Blue Devils haven’t won the National Championship since 2015 and last made the Final Four in 2022, Mike Krzyzewski’s final year leading the program. Across Jon Scheyer’s first two seasons, he has a second-round exit and an Elite Eight appearance, falling to NC State last season. Now, he has a chance to cement his legacy by leading the Blue Devils back to glory, and at FanDuel Sportsbook, his team is listed at +280 to take home the title.

After Duke, the Florida Gators are a hot selection and might be the hottest team. Todd Golden’s group steamrolled its way to the SEC Tournament Championship with wins over Missouri, Alabama, and Tennessee. The Tigers grabbed a six-seed in The Big Dance while Bama and UT both found their way to the two-line.

All four No. 1 seeds were well deserving, and are the four most common picks to win it all in brackets so far, but arguably the most hated program in college basketball is getting a lot of love as the fan’s overwhelming tournament favorite.
