Reserves for Boston College

The Golden Eagles biggest issue with this roster heading into 2024-25 is probably the lack of depth and experience, especially in the frontcourt. Take a look at who they've got on this year's list of reserves.

Guard - Josh Beadle | Grad. Transfer

Beadle will be the ultimate glue guy for the Golden Eagles as he joins their rotation after spending the past two seasons with the Clemson Tigers. He's the lone addition from the Power 6 Conferences as he looks to play a bigger role for Boston College.

In two seasons at Clemson, he put up 2.6 points and 1.0 rebounds per game on 18.4 percent shooting from behind the arc. He'll need to improve upon his efficiency shooting the ball on the perimeter to increase his usage in 2024-25.

Forward - Elijah Strong | Sophomore

Strong returns in Year 2 for the Golden Eagles after appearing in 19 games in his freshman season. He averaged 2.7 points per game on 52.5 percent from the floor including 14 points and four rebounds back on Jan. 13 against Clemson in a season-high 26 minutes of action. As his minutes increase, look for his production to o do the same.

Guard - Fred Payne | RS Freshman

Payne returns after appearing in four games before redshirting due to a knee injury. His presence should give them some depth and experience in the backcourt, though limited. He still spent an entire season around the program, learning the plays and improving his strength/conditioning in the weight room.

Forward - Jayden Hastings | RS Freshman

Hastings took some time to adjust to the college game and took a redshirt year in 2023-24. Given his size and frame as he's listed at 6-foot-9 and 240 pounds, he's one key reserve with room to grow the most for Boston College in the frontcourt this season.

Forward - Kany Tchanda | Freshman

Listed at 6-foot-9 and 200 pounds on the Golden Eagles' roster, it's hard to foresee Tchanda won't be given some early opportunities to show off what he can do. He's a four-star prospect out of Sunrise Christian Academy who produced 10.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as a senior. He's shown he can operate inside and out with shooting splits of 60 percent from the floor and 50 percent form behind the arc as well.
