Mark Mitchell is due for a big game

While enough will be said about what Kyle Filipowski and other stars will need to do on Saturday to step up on the road, this weekend's meeting should be motivating for sophomore forward Mark Mitchell. Mitchell is coming off a solid all-around game in their victory on Monday night as he put up eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor against the Hokies.

With all eyes on Jared McCain, Caleb Foster and Kyle Filipowski, Mitchell should find this game as an opportunity to show that he has arrived. As the Blue Devils have found their identity over the past few months, a new face has stepped up and shown they're ready to take that next step. Mark Mitchell seems to be the one ready to take the next step for Duke.

He's already posted two double-doubles in ACC play this season against Notre Dame and Louisville and he's put together four 20+ point performances on the year. Mitchell looks ready to turn a corner in February after averaging 14.8 points and 8.2 rebounds per game on 63.3 percent shooting from the field in January.
