8. Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M has had a rather disappointing 2023-2024 campaign after being projected to finish second in the 2023-2024 SEC Preseason Poll. After reaching as high as 12th in the AP Top 25, the Aggies have been consistently inconsistent and now sport a mediocre record of just 12-8 (3-4).

Despite the middling record, Texas A&M played an incredibly difficult non-conference schedule with six of their first eight games of the season being away from home. The Aggies are still in a solid spot to earn an at-large bid but with each loss, their margin of error continues to get slimmer.

Texas A&M currently owns four Q1 wins with two matchups against Tennessee and a road game at Alabama highlighting their February slate. It's a critical month ahead for Buzz’s group.

7. Nevada Wolf Pack

The Wolf Pack are in a tailspin, losers of four out of their past five games after starting the season 13-1. Non-conference wins over Washington and TCU help the Pack resume-wise but they will need to pick up wins in the Mountain West before it's too late.

Thankfully for Steve Alford’s group, the Mountain West is amidst one of its strongest seasons in recent memory, meaning the Wolf Pack will have plenty of opportunities -- including four Q1 games -- to right the ship this month.

A six-bid Mountain West may seem like a tall task at the given moment, but let’s keep the hope.
